The Lion Who Lost Its Roar

“The Lion Who Lost Its Roar” – a heart-centred story for your next kids’ yoga class.

“Lino was not like the other lion cubs. While they growled and roared, he stayed quiet. Not because he didn’t want to, but because he wasn’t sure he could.

“What if my roar is too small?”

“What if nothing comes out?”

One morning, Lino wandered into the tall grass, hoping to find his voice.

  • Lino sat beneath a tree and placed a paw on his heart. – Sukhasana
“I am here. I am listening.”
  • He moved with his breath, waking up his body. – Marjaryasana–Bitilasana
    “I feel my courage.”
  • Lino stood strong, steady as the wind blew. – Virabhadrasana II
    “I am grounded.”
  • He listened to the whisper inside. – Parivrtta Baddha Konasana
    “I hear the way.”
  • Lino lifted his chest, soft but powerful. – Bhujangasana
    “I rise. I open.”
  • And then, a roar.
Not loud. Not perfect. But real. – Simhasana (Lion’s Breath)
    “My voice matters.”
  • He stepped forward with heart. – Anjaneyasana
    “I move with trust.”
  • That night, Lino curled into the grass. – Balasana
    Not tired, but calm.
    “Even quiet can be brave.”

Lino hadn’t found a louder roar. He had found something better. His own.”

You can close the session with: “Sometimes courage doesn’t shout. It listens, breathes, and grows from within.”
