“The Compass of the Heart” – a heart-centred story for your next kids’ yoga class.
“Suri loved exploring the forest. But one morning, the path disappeared and nothing looked familiar. “Am I lost?” she whispered. Her chest tightened. Then she remembered her grandmother’s words: “When you don’t know the way, be still. Your heart remembers.”
Suri sat down, hands on her heart. – Sukhasana “I am here. I’m listening.”
She moved with her breath, gently waking her body. – Marjaryasana–Bitilasana “I feel what’s true.”
She stood and folded down, letting go of fear. – Uttanasana “I release. I trust.”
She stepped forward and lifted her chest. – Anjaneyasana “I lead with my heart.”
Thoughts spun around her. She focused her gaze and balanced. – Garudasana “I see clearly.”
Turning softly, she felt a gentle pull — not outside, but within. – Parivrtta Anjaneyasana “I feel my direction.”
She stood tall like the tree beside her. – Vrksasana “I rise with trust.”
Kneeling, she opened her chest wide. A warmth spread from within. – Ustrasana “I open. I know the way.”
She curled into the earth, calm and peaceful. – Balasana “I am home.”
Suri hadn’t found a map. But she had found something better, her own compass. Her heart.”
You can close the session with: “The world doesn’t always give us signs. But our hearts do. When we slow down, breathe, and listen, we find the way, even when it’s hidden”
