The Ant’s Patience

“The Ant’s Patience” – a gentle and inspiring story for your next kids’ yoga class.

“In a sunlit meadow lived a small ant named Anu. One day, she found a big green leaf. Perfect to carry home. There was just one problem… it was much bigger than she was.

“Maybe it’s too heavy,” she thought.

Then she took a breath. “I’ll try. One step at a time.”

  • She became still before beginning. – Sukhasana
    “I start where I am.”
  • She bent her legs and lifted the leaf. – Utkatasana
    “I am strong.”
  • She took her first step forward. – Anjaneyasana
    “Step by step.”
  • The wind pushed, but she stayed steady. – Virabhadrasana II
    “I stay grounded.”
  • A rock blocked her path, so she climbed over it. – Phalakasana
“I am stronger than I think.”
  • She paused to rest. – Balasana
    “I can rest… and continue.”
  • She found her balance again. – Vrksasana
    “I steady myself.”
  • At last, she reached home. – Tadasana
    “I did it.”

Anu wasn’t the biggest or fastest. But she never gave up.”

You can close the session with: “Small steps, taken with patience, can carry us further than we think.”
